More flights, new routes & low, low fares!

2010 continues to be a year of growth for Tiger Airways. We’ve already added Hong Kong and Brisbane to our route map, and by popular demand, we’ve resumed flights to one of Australia’s favourite cities, Darwin! From 18 June, Tiger Airways offers six flights per week between Melbourne and Darwin. Once again, we’re providing the lowest fares for travel to and from the Northern Territory’s capital.

We have also increased the frequency of flights on some of our most popular international routes to Thailand. From 20 April, Tiger Airways flies daily from Singapore to Krabi and Hat Yai. This is double the previous frequency – four flights per week to Krabi and three per week to Hat Yai. Phuket, a popular weekend destination, now has new midday flights on Friday and Sunday, in addition to morning and evening flights, bringing the total to 14 flights per week. Add in our 20 flights per week to Bangkok, and you’ve got even more incentive to pounce on our low, low fares. We hope to bring you even more good news about new services very soon.

In this issue of Tiger Tales, you will find our ultimate weekend guide to one of our newest destinations, the beautiful city of Brisbane. That’s nine pages jam-packed with up-to-the-minute information on the best spots to eat, stay and play. Golf lovers will be thrilled to learn that we sent a writer on a cross-country tour of Vietnam’s best golf courses. Turn to page 65 for his rollicking account. We also journey to the beautiful province of Hainan in southern China to visit a hotel with a difference – it features treehouses and is located in a Buddhist theme park. For those wanting a more urban adventure, don’t miss our story on the best new bars in Sydney. But be advised, you’ll need our guide as many of these watering holes are so tiny and tucked-away that you might walk right past them.

Tiger Airways is more excited than ever to offer its passengers so many terrific new destinations to choose from and we will continue to offer the low, low fares and fuss-free travel that we’re renowned for. As always, happy travels!
